Urban Spaces
When thinking about urban spaces I would say it is natural to think about a city as a whole. The people, communities, resources, and the systems that bring all these things together. To me urban spaces are about connections and what brings people together within their communities and the equal access they might have which can be parks, stores, restaurants, and other activities that make a place. However urban spaces are not always the same as others and many communities within an urban space remain marginalized. With many challenges these communities might have, these places have been together for generations keeping their cultural practices and traditions in place for the time to come while maintaining their identity in an urban space that continues to grow which can also reflect for a whole city. In a diverse place such as Los Angeles, having these many different communities and being able to share their culture is what I think makes up an urban space as a whole and being able to share and learn from one another. So for all this I think a question to ask can be what changes will we see in urban spaces in the coming decades and what are some things that could happen for there to be a drastic change in urban spaces in Los Angeles?

I love the emphasis on "connections" and thinking about the city as a whole. This is so important, and is not always something that people do who have the power to make change. What do you think the biggest changes over the next couple of decades will be to our urban spaces?
